Gießen Personality Questionnaire GT (Gießen-Test)

Version "She"

Online test

The Gießen Personality Questionnaire (German: Gießen-Test, GT) was developed at the University of Gießen in Germany and first published in 1972. It is a multidimensional personality inventory used to assess various aspects of personality. The methodology includes 40 questions and evaluates six core personality scales:

  1. Social Approval Scale (Soziale Extraversion - SE) – the ability to successfully interact with the environment and the subjective perception of one's social role. Soziale Extraversion
  2. Dominance Scale (Dominanz - D) – power and influence versus submission and compliance as psychosocial defensive behaviors. Dominanz - D
  3. Control Scale (Kontrolle - K) – the capacity for self-control and the degree to which it is manifested (from relaxation to rigidity). Control Scale
  4. Basic Mood Scale (Grundstimmung - GS) – emotional background and ways of dealing with internal conflicts (aggression directed inward or outward). Grundstimmung - GS
  5. Openness – Reticence Scale (Offenheit - Abgeschlossenheit - OE/A) – the degree of openness toward others and the formation of basic trust. Offenheit - Abgeschlossenheit
  6. Social Capacity Scale (Soziale Potenz - SP) – the degree of personality maturity, the capacity for active social interaction, and emotional richness. Soziale Potenz

In addition to the core scales, the questionnaire includes two validity scales that allow for the analysis of the response selection pattern:

The "She" Version of the Gießen Personality Questionnaire (GT) is a form of the method where the assessment is provided based on the perception and representations of a specific girl or woman. The respondent reacts to the statements by selecting the degree of agreement regarding her behavior, emotional reactions, and personality traits. The methodology is aimed at identifying subjective interpretations that reflect both the possible traits of the person being evaluated and the specific nature of the respondent's attitude and perception.
